Tallmadge Tire is seeking an experienced Commercial Tire Location Manager to lead our fleet services operation in Cortland. Position Overview

As the Commercial Tire Location Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our commercial tire facility, including service work, delivery routes, inventory management, and customer relationships. You will lead a team of technicians and route personnel while working closely with commercial fleet customers such as schools, highway departments, farms, trucking companies, and other local businesses. This role combines leadership, operations management, sales development, and customer service to ensure the continued success of our fleet division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily location operations, including service scheduling, delivery routes, and inventory control
  • Lead, coach, and develop commercial tire service technicians and route personnel
  • Build and grow commercial fleet accounts through relationship management and sales efforts
  • Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor profitability, control expenses, and work toward established performance goals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key commercial customers

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial tire sales, commercial tire service, or fleet management required
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Clean driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift heavy tires when necessary and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one preferred

Commercial Tire Service Technician

Tallmadge Tire is seeking a skilled Commercial Tire Service Technician to join our fleet division. This role focuses on keeping commercial vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for the road through professional tire service and repair.

Position Overview

In this role, you will perform tire service and repairs for a variety of commercial fleets, including schools, highway departments, farms, trucking companies, and other local customers. Your work will include mounting, dismounting, repairing, and inspecting commercial tires, along with occasional mobile service calls to support customers on-site. This position plays an important role in minimizing downtime and keeping essential vehicles operating safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair commercial tires on trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles
  • Inspect tires for wear, damage, and safety, and perform proper repairs or replacements
  • Conduct fleet tire checks and maintain accurate service records
  • Provide timely, professional service to minimize customer downtime
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

Requirements

  • Clean driver’s license required
  • Experience in tire service, preferably commercial or heavy-duty tires preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy tires and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one preferred
